Summer Outings 2007  Weekly minibus outings

The weekly minibus outings have been greatly enjoyed by the residents this summer.

In June, a lovely day was spent at the Passiflora nursery. Our residents enjoyed preparing and eating a delightful salad lunch and relaxed in the afternoon amongst the flowers and plants.

Another morning visit to Passiflora, gave residents the opportunity to enjoy the pets as well as the plants.

A lovely bus ride to Windsor passing the Castle and big wheel ended at the riverside where tea and biscuits were enjoyed before feeding the ducks.

Choc ices were bought before heading home again.

There were two outings this summer to Runnymede. A visit to the war memorial was found to be most interesting giving an opportunity to look around and read the names of those who had died.

The visitors' book was signed by everyone and there was time for tea and biscuits and a chance to enjoy the beautiful views before returning home.

Another day the journey to Runnymede was greatly appreciated by those taking part. The bus drove by the river passing Chertsey lock and Staines lock and stopped by the river at Runnymede for a picnic watching the boats go by and feeding the ducks.

A visit to a friend's house was a high point of the summer outings for some of our residents. Cream tea, bingo and a look around made the day a great success.
