We maintain a a varied activities program. A coffee and bookclub meets every Thursday morning in the Montford Lounge and the Norman Wing sitting room has been the centre for a ladies club meeting three afternoons a week for card games, exercise sessions and knitting and sewing. The Montford Lounge hosts a film afternoon once a week and serves as a beauty parlour on a regular basis.
The Conservatory and Weir House Drawing Room provide delightful meeting places for larger groups of patients with a variety of entertainment, games and quizzes being enjoyed. Cooking afternoons have been met with great enthusiasm and the finished products being greatly enjoyed by all. Arts and craft sessions are always successful and singalongs and parties are held on a regular basis. We invite entertainers to perform and outings are held weekly in the Summer months. More details can be found in our News in Pictures and Events pages.

A team of Activity Organisers are responsible for organising and implementing
group orientated activities. As well as the normal day-to-day activities,
musicians and other entertainers visit the homes and there are weekly outings
to local attractions and to entertainments.
Residents are encouraged not only to take part in group activities, but
to spend at least part of the day away from their bedrooms by making use
of the Homes' communal facilities.

All our residents are encouraged to use the Home as if it was their own
and to maintain contact with family and friends and therefore there are
no restrictive visiting times.
Residents are free to choose to entertain visitors either in their own rooms
or in the garden and visitors, particularly spouses, are welcome to have
a meal with the resident.
